MACAU Adventure: Day 3

As days progressed in our Macau trip, things kept getting better and better. Our first agenda was to go to this temple on a hill. Of course we can't go to the place on foot, especially cause we have oldies with us :) so we took a shuttle. It was about a 10 minute trip. Our tour guide told us to be very quiet in entering the temple cause it was a place for prayer and meditations, and the people there were very strict with that.

We took pictures of the statues and monuments. The detailing on them was so beautiful and intricate and you can really tell that it was made by delicate hands. The place was also kept so clean. It was so serene up there. Very comforting. When we went down, we were walking down the street and we came up to this Panda Zoo. There were other animals there of course but the pandas were the main attraction.

My tita and mom always wanted me to take their picture with pretty flowers, and I don't know why hahaha. After that we went to the Venetian. The hotel was beautiful. My tita who's been to Venice told me that it really looked like the place. The scenery was so beautiful, we can't help but take pictures! :) After that we intended to watch "House of Dancing Water". But only a few of us were able to. I was one of the lucky ones. The production was great! The acrobats were amazing, and the dancing was so beautiful. But we weren't able to take pictures because it was not allowed in the theater. After that we watched the "Bubbles" show inside this big dome. It was so cool.

It was so beautiful there, and I wish we could come back. After the shows, we ate dinner at an italian resto near our place. It was so sad that we had to leave the next morning, but we were going to Hongkong! :)

I'll post about my Hongkong advetures next :)

Cheers!

CHRISTIAN DIARIES: The CHANGE

It's amazing how God can change your life every single day. It's like always a breath of fresh air. Even in tiny, little moments you miss, God speaks through it and works wonders in you. From a very personal point of view, I believe every single moment in my life - in every second, every breath, every step, God moves. It may not be good in every way, but God makes the changes for the better.

Yes. Surprisingly, it's not always good. Sometimes, bad things happen to you just to snap you out of your situation. And yes, I have been experiencing a lot of that lately. Most times I've felt so low, may be the lowest point of my life. But I am glad I have a God who picks me up and makes me realize that what I'm doing isn't right.

I am a Christian, I know. And people think Christians are supposedly "holy" because we sing in church and read the Scripture and pray. But, I tell you, that's not always a case. We are people too. We make mistakes and feel low. Personally, just share, lately I realized that I am not a true Christian. Yes, I go to church every Sunday, listen to the Pastor, sing in church, but I've felt that I was not fulfilling what God had asked me to do. And it's killing me because I was not making God happy.

I love God, but there's something missing.

But God moves. He really does. He made me realize those things "missing". And that feeling of being low? It's fading, really. All because of Him. I tell you, when God knocks you down to make you realize what's wrong, He picks you up and shows you not only better things, but the Best. Knowing Him was the best decision I've ever made.

What Jesus Christ has done for you and me is amazing, truly amazing. He saved us. He loved *correction*, HE LOVES US, after all we've done.

Too Much

Sometimes, I just want to go back to the days where being laid-back and relaxed is a good thing. Nowadays, being called "busy" has become a cliche and being "relaxed" is being lazy. I want to go back to that day, to feel something again, to be happy, to smile and laugh and just be satisfied. Is that too much to ask?

Food for thought:

“Suffering has been stronger than all other teaching, and has taught me to understand what your

heart used to

be. I have been bent and broken, but - I hope - into a better shape.” — Charles Dickens

MACAU Adventure: Day 2

As I said, our Macau trip was truly an adventure. Bus rides, taxi trips, walking-around-til-your-feet-hurt-like-crazy, all fun. The weather in Macau ranged from 15-20 degrees, and it was coooold. My friends told me to bring sweaters and cardigans to ease me from the cold weather, but apparently, all that I brought were too thin, and can hardly shield me from the weather. Layering helped though. Anyway, my second day in Macau turned out pretty well. We first went to this park, Guia Hill Municipal Park and Flora Garden somewhere near our place and rode the cable car. It was a short ride. We then walked uphill to see the view of Macau.

We walked around, took a few pictures and bought something healthy and sweet to eat. I bought a strawberries n' cream fruit shake and paired it with peanut butter drizzled waffle. Yum! :)

We walked around again in the markets and it was packed full of people! I guess because it was still Christmas season and everyone's on vacation. We went to this sort of unfinished church had this museum behind it.

We then went around taking pictures, posing here and there. We ate at a hotel (I forgot the name). I just had beef and noodles cause I wasn't that hungry. After that we went around the city and took pictures again and watched the water fountain show outside The Venetian hotel. We went inside to watch a dragon show which showcased the signs of the zodiac. We then went home after that.

It was a very busy day. Walked around pretty much all the time. My feet grew tired and eyes became heavy. So, we went home. It was lovely seeing so much of the beautiful city and exploring new things! My friend says the place looks like Vegas. City lights were amazing.

I hope you enjoyed going through this post! I have to sleep now, class starts tomorrow. Good night! :)

Cheers! :)
