MACAU Adventure : Home Sweet Home

We spent the rest of our school holidays in Macau and Hongkong, 8 days to be exact. And most definitely the first day was the most adventure-y. Let me tell you why.

We left the Philippines at around 7 pm and arrived there at around 8:55 pm. We had trouble with the transportation because we didn't know if we should take the taxi or ride the bus. Taxi is expensive in Macau and we are 13 people, so imagine how much that'll cost. We decided to ride a bus to Taipa, Macau because that was where our accommodation was located. We were supposed to meet up with the people who let us rent their flat but the weren't able to show up. Good thing though we found a Filipina who helped us in getting around and finding a hotel to stay for the night. Almost all the good ones were full, so we decided to take the one which has unfilled rooms, but was the dirtiest and filthiest hotel we've ever been in. Sleeping there was probably the most disgusting thing I ever did. And also, getting there was difficult enough, we were like backpackers carrying huge luggage and hand carry bags. So imagine the disappointment on our faces when we entered the room.

The smell was just unexplainably horrible and the beds were disgusting. We didn't even take our clothes off because we were too scared to. The morning after, my tito tried to convince us to stay in the said hotel but luckily, Aaron and Marisa, the owners of the flat we were supposed to stay in the previous night, contacted my tita. We got up, packed our bags and met up with them. Their flat was so nice and comfy, I feel like I'm at home :)

I love the art work :)

That's my mom in the kitchen. So nice, isn't it?

Aunts and Lolas in the living room.

That's Aaron and Marisa in the middle :)

That's their dog, Levi.

Our stay was comfortable because of them. They were accommodating and really friendly :) Also, they were so nice to us! If ever you guys visit Macau, I highly recommend you staying in their home. It's cozy and you'll really feel at home! Thanks Aaron and Marisa! :)

Also, Aaron was part of the show, House of Dancing Water in The City of Dreams in Macau, so you better check that out! The show was awesome :) I'll narrate about it in my next post :)
